All fellows will be assigned to CARE country
office in the regions where we operate, in a
U.S. field office, or at our Atlanta headquarters.
Fellowships will include a stipend or salary
plus benefits, as well as travel, housing and
other local expenses. Applicants may apply for
multiple postings.
Deadline and Notification
Please note: The deadline for submitting all
applications has been extended to April 15,
2008.
Requirements
- All high performing full-time employees
(National, U.S.-based or International staff)
with a regular contract who have been employed
by CARE for at least one year are eligible
for fellowships.
Selection process
- The preliminary screening process will
take place by early April.
- CARE will conduct interviews with short-listed
applicants who have confirmed their interest
in one or more of the fellowship assignments
by May 2008.
- Fellowship assignments will be selected
and offered in early June.
For consideration for a CARE USA fellowship,
you must submit a completed supervisor’s approval
form, resume, a personal statement and your
two most recent performance appraisals.

2. Resume: Provide a current resume outlining your academic and professional accomplishments.
3. Personal statement: Your personal statement should address the following:
- Your desire and interest in becoming a fellow
- The results you expect to achieve through your fellowship
- Your unique qualifications and related experience.
- Relevant competencies, languages and technical skills
- Major professional experience
Since assignments may last from six months up to a year, please specify the length of time you are willing to commit to a CARE USA Fellowship.
Please limit your personal statement to one page or less.
4. Annual Performance Appraisals: Provide copies of your two most recent Annual Performance Appraisals (APAs) as Word documents. |
