Coaching has varied approaches depending on the outcome you wish to achieve. It is important to understand the difference between the different styles before you choose an approach that best fits your needs:

  • Skills Coaching - Based on learning new skills and knowledge; Goals are simple and clear; Coaches us personal knowledge and expertise;
  • Performance Coaching - Based on learning competencies directly linked to a position or role; Goals are liked to organizational needs and/or address current performance;
  • Development Coaching - Based on learning about the individual and how to build individual capacity; Goals are linked to personal development and increased capacity as a whole; Coaches act as a reflective partner and promote self-discovery while empowering the coachee to grow.
