Planning Your Development
Talent Development – What is it at CARE?
Talent Development is a range of intentional learning experiences that you are expected to manage and integrate into your job activities. Your manager is responsible for initiating the development planning discussion and guides you through a thoughtful process that helps define developmental objectives that benefit your interests/needs as well as the organization.

Research shows that the most impactful development experiences for people occur while they are on the job, carrying out the work. |
The second most influential development occurs from coaching conversations between an employee and a manager (or others). |
Formal training and education has the least impact on one’s career development and should be used when an employee needs to refine or learn a skill or acquire specific knowledge. |
