CARE Academy launches a new course: “addressing poverty and social injustice.”

This course follows on from the 2006 academy course “CARE’s approach to ending poverty”. In the second module you will be reminded of CARE’s vision, mission, programming principles and unifying framework and see how they relate to the theory of change laid out in the new Strategic Plan of CARE USA.

You will explore the unifying framework in more depth and get a sense of how CARE is adopting a programmatic approach in order to have lasting impact upon poverty and social injustice. Discover CARE’s definition of a program, explore the characteristics of a program, and learn more about the implications of adopting the programmatic approach from experiences in Bangladesh and Latin America.

The course takes approximately 2 hours to complete and is relevant to all CARE staff. It is strongly recommended for program staff. The course is available in English, French and Spanish. The Academy advises prospective learners to do module 1, "CARE's approach to ending poverty" first because it provides a good foundational understanding for this second course.
