Initiated in 2002, the East and Central Africa HR network
is a vibrant community of practice which provides
a mechanism for CO HR Managers across the region
to share knowledge and best practices, work
together to advance regional HR priorities,
and to build a strong sense of community across
the region. Despite many obstacles this network
has worked hard to sustain and strengthen its
momentum, focus, linkages, and ultimately its
effectiveness over the past few years.
This case study highlights the
experiences of the ECARMU HR Network and provides
a synthesis of the key lessons learned on what
it takes to create a sustainable regional network.
A must read for any regional or global group
seeking to build a sustainable network or community
of practice on any topic. Available in English,
