The CARE Academy's learning opportunities are designed to support and enhance CARE's
organizational competencies, which are a set of skills that CARE employees need to carry
out the organization's strategic plan. CARE Competencies enable consistent standards for
hiring, assessing performance, building development plans, coaching and career growth of
individuals. To help CARE staff hone the skills needed for their job, every course or
module offered through the CARE Academy is cross-referenced to the core competencies.
Where there are no specific modules or learning resources available through Academy
offerings, please reference the Competency Development Planning Guide
for on-the-job developmental suggestions and reading references.
